By downloading, installing, or using bankd — The Angler's Game ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The service
bankd is a mobile fishing simulation game offering a free Starter tier and a paid auto-renewing subscription, Pro (£4.99/month), which unlocks additional lakes, equipment, characters, and game modes. Subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, and can be managed or cancelled via your platform account settings.
Virtual items have no real-world value
Equipment, characters, in-game currency-equivalents, and tier status are virtual, have no monetary value outside the App, and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or redeemed for real-world goods or services.
Competitions and "leagues" — accurate description
bankd's Competitions feature (weekly leagues, Daily Challenge) is a single-player progression system: you are scored against computer-generated opponents, not other real players. No player ever competes directly against, or is matched with, another real user. See the separate Competition & Prize Terms for the specific rules covering that feature.
Username and conduct
Usernames are subject to automated moderation and must not contain offensive, hateful, or impersonating content. We reserve the right to reset or block usernames that breach this, and to suspend access for abuse of the report-a-player feature.
Intellectual property
All bankd branding, characters, artwork, and code are owned by Taylabs Limited or licensed to it. You're granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the App; you may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute it.
Disclaimers and liability
The App is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, regardless of the country you access the App from.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
